Summer 2022

Concert Series Lineup

June 29  Diggin' Dirt

Diggin' Dirt is no ordinary funk and soul band. This seven-piece band is skyrocketing through the west coast music scene. They layer humble influences of psychedelic rock, Motown soul, Afrobeat, and even reggae, atop a sturdy foundation of late 60’s inspired funk music.

July 6  The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band

Two-time BMA nominee, The Revered Payton's Big Damn Band is considered one of the greatest front-porch blues bands in the world. Led by Reverend Petone (who most consider the premier finger picker playing today), he has earned a reputation as both a singularly compelling performer and a persuasive evangelist for the rootsy, country blues styles his band is known for today.

July 13  Big Something

Fusing elements of rock, pop, funk, and improvisation, Big Something takes listeners on a journey through a myriad of musical styles. Huge rhythms paired with soaring guitars, E.W.I (electronic wind instrument), synths, horns, and alluring vocal hooks rise to the top of their infectious collection of songs and bring a unique, grooving sound.

July 20  Emily Wolfe

Emily Wolfe transcends the ranks of ordinary musicians. As a triple threat rock & roll singer-songwriter-guitarist and producer, Wolfe is on a mission to breathe new life into classic rock and roll with her incendiary guitar chops and original songwriting.

July 27  Couch

Equipped with catchy hooks and powerhouse vocals, Couch aims to reshape familiar pop tropes in fresh ways. They infuse pop songs with funk, R&B, jazz, and rock influences. Their vibrant sound is further defined by the members’ personal training in jazz, a cappella, and musical theatre. Couch injects each track with their signature flavor—expressive horns, warm vocals, and bubbling synths—crafting an oasis of joy for musicians and non-musicians alike.

August 3  Black Joe Lewis

Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears explore the sordid trappings of ego, isolation, consumption, waste, and war. Sonically inspired by the Hill Country blues, cowpunk, and southern soul of Stax, Lewis creates a "real blues" experience.

August 10  Paper Idol

Paper Idol is the genre-bending pop project of LA-based artist and auteur Matan KG. The music weaves dance music and alternative into something unique with storytelling that blurs the line between reality and fantasy, optimism, and delusion. Paper Idol's live set combines electronic samplers and real instrumentation making you move.

August 17  Soul Rebels

The Soul Rebels started with an idea - to expand upon the pop music they loved on the radio and the New Orleans brass tradition they grew up on. They took that tradition and blended funk and soul with elements of hip hop, jazz, and rock all within a brass band context. The band has built a career around an eclectic live show that harnesses the power of horns and drums in a deep pocket funk party-like atmosphere.
