This Week In the Butte March 5 2018

We have headed into March with exciting events and music! This week experience the magic of pairing food and wine, the musical phenomenon known as “looping”, or about the incredible history of Crested Butte!

Come ski with like-minded women to get some ski tips, followed by tipping a glass of wine at our Umbrella Bar. This is a women’s specific session, which is guided by our top women pros. Sessions will go from 1:30 - 3:30 pm and will conclude with an après beverage, which is included in the session price for $70.

Perfect Pairs: An Evening of Food and Wine I March 7
Explore the keys to tasting wine and pairing it with complimentary foods in this discussion, demonstration-style, tasting and eating course.  Learn about grapes, wines, styles, geographies; a thoughtful approach toward wine tasting; food pairing pointers; recipes and ingredients that can influence the choice of wine to accompany a meal; and inspiration to create a delicious meal to further learning and pleasure.

An Evening with Keller Williams I March 8
The Crested Butte Center for the Arts presents An Evening with Keller Williams Thursday, March 8 @ 8 pm. Tickets are $45.

Defining the term “independent artist,” Keller Williams’ music sounds like nothing else. Engaging in “live phrase sampling” or “looping,” Keller uses an arsenal of technical toys to create samples on stage in front of the audience, then layering them on top of one another. The end result is a hybrid of alternative folk and groovy electronic, a genre Keller calls “acoustic dance music” or “ADM.”

Live Music at Butte 66 I March 9 & 10
Join us for après at Butte 66 at the base of the Red Lady Express for music, drinks and food after a great day of skiing!  This week features local talent Casey Falter and is where you'll want to be on Friday and Saturday afternoons!
