It’s shaping up to be a gorgeous and fun Spring in Crested Butte. This week is no exception with amazing on-mountain experiences, adventurous races and live music to experience everything Crested Butte has to offer. 

Sunset Soiree I March 20 
Enjoy longer days and the beautiful views from the Umbrella Bar at Ten Peaks during our Sunset Soiree. Event tickets are for sale in advance online or at the Adventure Center for $60 per person and includes dinner with charcuterie, fondue, chili, paninis, and dessert, one complimentary glass of house wine or draft beer and a sleigh ride to and from the base area.

Canvas and Cocktails I March 21
Local artist Mary Tuck guides the group through a step-by-step painting from start to finish, giving instruction on setting up to paint, mixing color, composition, and more. Drinks are served to participants 21 and older, so you can relax and create. All painting supplies and your first drink are included. Absolutely no painting or drawing experience is necessary!  

The Trailhead Children’s Museum: Après Ski Art I March 21
During Spring Break only, parents enjoy a night out while children enjoy an evening of art & play!  The Trailhead Children’s Museum will provide an art lesson with time left over to explore, create, and play in the museum!  Please pack snacks and a water bottle for the evening.

Live Music @ Butte 66 I March 23 & 24
Join us for après at Butte 66 at the base of the Red Lady Express for music, drinks and food!  This week features local talent Casey Falter and is where you'll want to be on Friday and Saturday afternoons!

The Grand Traverse I March 23 
The Winter Grand Traverse is a backcountry ski race that starts at midnight from Crested Butte. In this extreme endurance event, racers climb more than 7,800 vertical feet and navigate in a self-supported backcountry race that tests them physically and mentally. To maintain safety in the backcountry, racers compete in teams of two and are required to carry mandatory gear. Held annually since 1998, it’s earned a reputation as a true test of toughness for elite local, national and international athletes.

Bluegrass and Bloodies I March 24
Kick off your Saturday right with Bluegrass & Bloodies at the Umbrella Bar at Ten Peaks. Enjoy live music by the Pickin' Pear from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm and the best bloody in Crested Butte! 

Historical Walking Tour I March 24
Want to learn more about the history of our wonderful Town and Valley? Enjoy our Winter Wonderland and take a historic walking tour!  Tours meet at 10 am in front of the Museum at 4th and Elk Avenue, are only $10 a person and support the Museum's general operating fund. Tours may also be scheduled for groups of three of more by calling the Museum at 970-349-1880. 

Winter Downhill Chainless Race I March 24
Grab your townie, fat bike or brave this event on your summer mountain bike. Test your skills and get some thrills in the Crested Butte Winter Chainless Downhill Bike Race.
