Victor Wooten Trio I January 20
The Crested Butte Center for the Arts presents The Victor Wooten Trio on Saturday, January 20 at 8 pm. Tickets are $45.
Revolutionary bassist Victor Wooten has no parallel in modern music, approaching his instrument much like the ground-breaking innovators of saxophonist John Coltrane and guitarist Jimi Hendrix. A master of intricate jazz melodies, R&B arrangements and groove-inducing funk, Victor broke free of common preconceptions at an early age. Listening to his five immensely talented brothers, he learned to apply unconventional drum licks, solos, blazing percussive chops and wild explorations of melody, nuance and phrasing to his bass creating an unforgettable live music experience.
