The festivities continue here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! After you get tired from skiing and riding during this holiday week check out these relaxing events leading into the New Year’s Eve celebrations!
Canvas and Cocktails I December 26
Join local artist Mary Tuck as she guides the group through a step-by-step painting of Last Tracks from start to finish, giving instruction on setting up to paint, mixing color, composition, and more. Painting starts at 4:00 pm outside of Spellbound Pizza. Drinks are served to participants 21 and older, so you can relax and create.
Crested Butte Center for Trout Steak Revival I December 28
Crested Butte Center for the Arts welcomes Trout Steak Revival on December 28, 2017. They blend folk, indie, bluegrass and roots into their own style of Americana evoking a down-to-earth sound with a wholesome message. Doors at 8:00 pm. Tickets are available and are $25.
Warren Miller Presents Line of Descent I December 29
The annual tradition is back as the Crested Butte Film Festival salutes the start of winter with Warren Miller’s 68th ski and snowboard film with downhill thrills, global adventure and a nod to those that taught us to slide on snow. There are two shows (5:30 and 8:30) on December 29, 2017 @ Center for Arts Crested Butte. Tickets are $20.
The Lao Tizer Band I December 30
The Center for the Arts presents The Lao Tizer Band at 6 pm on December 30, 2017 at the Crested Butte Center for the Arts. Tickets are available for $40. Contemporary jazz group, The Lao Tizer Band, is driven by an explosive mix of jazz, rock, classical, jam band, Afro Cuban and world rhythms.
NYE Après Party at the Umbrella Bar I December 31
Looking to spice up your New Year’s Celebrations? Take a self-guided skin or snowshoe tour to the top of Ten Peaks and warm up inside the Umbrella Bar while watching the fireworks display, which starts at 5:30 pm. Appetizers, champagne and dessert will have you feeling festive while celebrating the coming of a new year! Additional beverages will be available for purchase. Get your ticket early as space is limited. Event tickets are for sale in advance online or at the Adventure Center for $50 per person.
Torchlight Parade and Fireworks I December 31
Join us at Butte 66 for music and drink specials, and watch from the upstairs deck as Crested Butte's finest ski and snowboard instructors wind their way down the mountain during the Torchlight Parade. The fireworks show will start as the first instructors make their way into the base area. The best viewing area of the evening will be from the base area of the mountain on the Butte 66 deck.
