Something for Everyone at the CBMR Ski & Ride School
As the temperatures continue to decrease and the fall foliage gives way to the snowy peaks, the impending excitement for ski season is quickly expanding. Crested Butte Mountain Resort is ready for winter, and over the next six weeks – leading up to Opening Day on November 24 – we hope to get you ready as well with six different topics to focus on for this upcoming winter season!
Our first topic is all the fun to be had in a variety of our lesson programs.
At Crested Butte, lessons are not only meant for beginners. While beginner skiers and riders will feel comfortable on our expansive green and blue terrain, advanced to expert skiers can push themselves on a tour of CBMR’s famed Extreme Limits terrain. Let’s break down some of the different options that are available:
Beginners – CBMR’s Ski and Ride School is available every day of the winter season for guests and locals alike. Whether you are a first-timer or are looking to try a different sport, the private and group lesson settings provide an intimate, personalized level of instruction with Crested Butte’s top ski and snowboard instructors.
Intermediates – Hey ladies! Come ski with like-minded women to get some ski tips, followed by tipping a glass of wine at our new Umbrella Bar. The Women’s tips on Tuesdays is a women’s specific session, which is guided by our top women pros. Sessions will go from 1:30- 3:30 pm and will conclude with an après glass of wine, or non-alcoholic beverage. This product is for skiing levels 3-7 and is designed to be specific for women wanting guides, instruction and a fun mountain atmosphere.
Additionally, both group and private lessons are a great way to expand an intermediate skier or rider’s skills.
Advanced – For advanced skier and riders, CBMR’s North Face Guides allows participants to experience the resort’s famed extreme terrain, concentrating on skiing and riding off the High Lift and in the North Face area of the mountain. The tour includes an evaluation and light education, helping adventure-minded guests make the jump to extreme skiing and riding.
