Colorado Marriage License

A marriage license must be obtained from the State of Colorado before your ceremony can be performed. There is no waiting period, and the cost is approximately $10. The license must be secured in person at any county clerk's office in Colorado with proof of age and identification, such as a valid passport or photo driver's license.

Both the Bride and Groom must be present together to obtain a license and must both be 18 years of age or older. If either party has been divorced or widowed, the party must attest to the date, place and the court issuing the decree. If the divorce occurred within 90 days of the request for a marriage license, a copy of the decree must also be presented. An application for a marriage license will expire within 30 days after application if not used.
