US Extreme Freeskiing Championships,
Feb. 19 - 23, 2008
About the Event
The first in the U.S. to launch an extreme skiing contest, Crested Butte marks seventeen years of freeskiing competition this season. Competitors vie for the largest cash purse on the freeskiing circuit and sweet prizes from all the sponsors. Junior athletes age 14 - 17 are also welcome to compete. The 17th Annual US Extreme Freeskiing Championship is open to anyone over the age of 18. There will also be a Junior competition for ages 14 - 17.

Registration
Registration for this event will begin on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 6:00 a.m. mst. Registration will be online only. To register please go to: registration.mtsports.com

Cost for Juniors and Masters is $150
Cost is $150 for the Qualifier, Additional $125 for the Event, and $275 for World Tour Athletes
Forms
All competitors will need to read and sign a Liability Waiver and Model Release before they can compete. These forms will be available onsite, but completing ahead of time will expedite your check-in on Arrival Day. Juniors who are traveling without parents need to make they sure they bring signed forms to the comp.

Wednesday, 2.20 : Junior Big Mountain Qualifying Day
- 7:30 am - 4:30 pm : registration in the capital room of the Elevation Hotel
- 8:00 am : early athlete chair lift - venue inspection
- 9:00 am : venue inspection
- 9:15 am : competition starts!
- 5:00 pm : athlete meeting - competition venue for next day TBA (for juniors, women, masters & men/1 run only)
Thrusday, 2.21 : Adult Big Mountain Qualifier & Junior Day One
- 7:30 am - 4:30 pm : registration in the capital room of the Elevation Hotel
- 8:00 am - early athlete chair lift - venue inspection
- 9:00 am - venue inspection
- 9:15 am - competition starts!

Spectator Information
Don't want to compete, but still want to be part of the fun?
Spectators are welcome at every competitive event! Venues are accessible to blue-level (intermediate) skiers and snowboarders. A short hike may be required. Please note: for the safety of other skiers, we cannot offer courtesy rides to the venues.
Locations for competitions are announced the day before the event. So check the white boards located at the lifts the morning of the event for location information and directions.
