Winter Ski-Accessed Plein Air Watercolor

March 08
12:00 PM – 02:30 PM

Join an enthusiastic, energetic group of creative art lovers this winter in these exciting drop-in painting sessions. Embarking on the Red Lady lift, participants will ski to a scenic location on Crested Butte Mountain's ski area where instructor Suzanne Pierson will teach plein air watercolor painting using watercolor mixed with her secret ingredient to keep it from freezing. Students will receive instruction and inspiration in the intricacies of landscape watercolor painting outdoors in a winter wonderland. Learn basic watercolor techniques and skills or build on the ones you already possess.

Beginner to advanced skiers and painters are all welcome. Come to just one class, or join us for all five!

Don't ski, but would love to paint? Don't fret! Suzanne is also putting together non-skier groups to work at walk-to locations on the resort, snowshoeing locations and cross country skiing locations. She already has lots of interest, so contact Program Director Melissa Mason at 970-596-5497 to join an already established non-skiing group or create your own.

Bring your own supplies (below), or purchase what you need from the instructor.

$200 for all sessions = General Admission on
