Alpenglow Free Downtown Concert Series featuring Seryn
Alpenglow is the Center for the Arts's free outdoor concert series on Monday evenings during the summer. With Crested Butte Mountain and Paradise Divide as the backdrop, come enjoy the sounds of a variety of music. Bring along your chairs, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. This week the Center for the Arts presents Seryn
Seryn is a 6-piece band based in Nashvile, TN. Incorporating layered textures of guitars, ukulele, accordion, bass, violin, banjo, and various percussion, the band's strength resides in their vast musical talent and understanding of dynamics. Their beauty is gracefully displayed through chilling harmonies. Each member and their voice carry the same importance. One is not complete without the other.
The sound is not easily defined, but still proves triumphant. What may first appear as straight folk songs later transcends into menacing walls of sound. The term "Folk-Pop" has been thrown around and maybe it loosely fits, but we will leave the definitions up to you.
