TIME TO START THINKING ABOUT SUMMER OPERATIONS Crested Butte Mountain Resort announces lift and operations schedule along with summer season passes

MT. CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. – April 21 – Summer is just around the corner and it’s not too late to purchase a Summer Adventure Pass to Crested Butte Mountain Resort for the discounted price. From through June 5, those who didn’t purchase the year-round Peak Pass Plus can still get the addition of summer lift and Adventure Park access for just $279 for adults, $229 for children and $179 for kids six & under.

The Evolution Bike Park and the resort’s Adventure Park open June 13 through September 27 for the summer and fall seasons.

Summer lift hours will be as follows:

Daily June 13 – September 13: (changes to fall schedule Sept 18 – 27)
          Red Lady Express: 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
           Silver Queen Express: 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

The resort will continue to host Twilight rides on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 4:30 – 7 p.m. Twilight tickets will be $7 and include a free soft drink or draft beer at Butte 66. Passholders ride...Read more

What’s New This Summer at Crested Butte Mountain Resort

MT. CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. – April 16 – One of the great things about living in a place with four seasons is the anticipation of the next season. In Crested Butte, this excitement is never ending. Evolution Bike Park

Each year, the Evolution Bike Park trail crew continues to work hard to build new trails, maintain existing lines and make the riding experience even better at Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR). Late last year, crews finished a new green trail called Hotdogger that features berms, turns and rollers on a nice machine-made wide trail for those who appreciate having a little more room around them on a bike.

This much anticipated opening will offer incredible skiing and riding at the resort this weekend

MT. CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. – FEB. 25 – After a big announcement in November of the possibility of expanding skiing and riding to an area called Teo 2 at Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR), recent snow has given ample snow coverage to open this terrain for the first time ever. Teo 2 is an area just beyond the current Teocalli Bowl that is within ski area boundaries and has future plans for lift and terrain expansion into the drainage below, if approved once plans and permitting being.

It is an exciting time for the resort and its guests to get back there, check it out and see the opportunities within the resort’s 2013 Master Development Plan with the US Forest Service. Teo 2 brings an additional 40 acres of extreme skiing terrain to CBMR, with pillow drops, steep tree lines and finishing out with a mellow open bowl of fresh powder.

3 non-perishable food items per person to be donated to local food banks
MT. CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. – Jan. 20. – In an effort to help the local community, Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) is hosting a food drive on January 25th to support both the Crested Butte and Gunnison food banks. Guests who donate three non-perishable non-expired food items will receive a $35 lift ticket, valid for Sunday, January 25, 2015.
“As a company we value the local community and want to do something to give back, above our normal donations. We thought that providing food for both the Gunnison and Crested Butte food pantries was a great way for us to help, from the CBMR family,” explains Ethan Mueller, president of CBMR. “It is something that as a company we have done for years at Okemo Mountain in Vermont. We thought now was time to do the same here in Crested Butte.”

Crested Butte Mountain Resort partners with Sony to offer free Action Cam loans
MT. CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. – December 12 – In line with all the adventure to be found at Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) and the beauty that surrounds the area, guests can now capture their experience with Sony’s Action Cam. Recently, the resort signed a partnership agreement with Sony Action Cam to launch a loaner program in the base area giving guests the opportunity to experience the Action Cam firsthand, which started Thursday, Dec 11. Action Cam will help to kick off the season at the Dec. 13 CB Santa Ski Crawl event, capturing the event through the Action Cam lens and sharing Santa’s POV with the world.
“We are thrilled to partner with Crested Butte and put the Action Cam into the hands of their guests this season,” said Patrick Huang Director of the Action Cam business at Sony Electronics. “Sony Action Cam allows everyone to share their adventures and tell stories in a new way. We can’t wait to see the footage from the slopes.”
