Military Appreciation Month during January in Crested Butte
Thanking all the men and women who serve 

MT. CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. – December 30 – For the second consecutive year, Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) and the Crested Butte community is hosting Military Appreciation Month during January, as a way to thank all the service men and women in the United States Military with lodging and ski discounts for all active military, retired military, their legal dependents and Department of Defense employees. In addition, the resort has partnered with the Adaptive Sports Center’s Operation Rise and Conquer program, as well as the Crested Butte/Mt. Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce. 

CBMR is proud to offer rooms at the Grand Lodge for $109 per night, along with $37 lift tickets. In addition, $2 of each lift ticket sold will be donated to the Operation Rise and Conquer program. Plus, along with the Adaptive Sports partnership, there will be $35 lessons for skiing or snowboarding. Local businesses in the town of Mt. A SURPRISE BLUEBIRD POWDER DAY AT CRESTED BUTTE MOUNTAIN RESORT
Over 8’’of snow fell overnight. 

MT. CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. – December 23 – Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) has received over 8 inches of snow that fell overnight. Just in time for the holidays, the guests and local residents are ecstatic with the snow from mother nature and the stoke levels are high in the lift line. CBMR is featuring 80 open trails and 695 skiable acres. Courtesy of the new snow, events and excitement throughout town, there is no better time to be celebrating the holidays in Crested Butte! It is going to be a beautiful bluebird powder day in Crested Butte. 

Flights are still arriving into the Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport with some minor delays and Monarch Pass is currently open, check CDOT for more detailed information. Therefore, traveling to and from Crested Butte is possible.

AFTER THE STORM CRESTED BUTTE MOUNTAIN RESORT HAS COLORADO’S DEEPEST TOTALS
Well over 2 feet of snow has fallen in the last 48 hours.
 

MT. CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. – December 17 – Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) has received over 21 inches of snow in the last 24 hours, and is reporting the deepest storm totals throughout the state of Colorado with a two day total of 29 inches. The snow has arrived with perfect timing prior to the holiday season, and the town is buzzing with excitement. The new snow has helped the Mountain Operations team and Ski Patrol to open more terrain, with the East River Express Lift and Gold Link Lifts scheduled to open for the season today. Overall, CBMR is featuring 69 open trails and 560 skiable acres.  Courtesy of the new snow, events and excitement throughout town, there is no better time to be celebrating the holidays in Crested Butte!

THE DEEPEST SNOW TOTAL CONTINUES TO PILE UP AT CRESTED BUTTE MOUNTAIN RESORT

Over 11’’of snow has fallen in the last 24 hours.

 

MT. CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. – December 16 – Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) has received over 11 inches of snow in the last 24 hours, and is reporting the deepest storm totals throughout the state of Colorado. It appears that winter has arrived in full force for the holiday season. The guests and local residents are ecstatic with the snow from mother nature and the stoke levels are high in the lift line. It does not appear that the storm is over with up to another 20 inches forecasted to fall by Saturday morning. The Mountain Operations team and Ski Patrol continue to work diligently to open more terrain, with CBMR featuring 47 trails and 467 acres. Old Man Winter does not appear to be going anywhere ensuring this holiday season will be filled with lots snow, events and memories to last a lifetime!

Crested Butte Mountain Resort Celebrates the Winter Solstice 
Warm Up by the Fire with a Hot Cider at the Umbrella Bar at Ten Peaks

 

MT. CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. – December 15 – To celebrate the start of the 2016-2017 winter season and the oncoming increase in daylight, Crested Butte Mountain Resort will play host to the Winter Solstice Après Party on Wednesday, December 21. The party will take place on the mountain at the Umbrella Bar at Ten Peaks. The Winter Solstice Party brings family and friends together in an intimate but social setting, while highlighting the surrounding peaks under the evening sky.

To participate, guests can catch the last chair or hike up at 4 p.m. to the Umbrella Bar at the top of the Painter Boy Lift. Upon arrival guests can warm up inside or around the fire pit. Enjoy celebrating the winter season with a spiked cider made with local Montanya Oro rum, as well as charcuterie, appetizers, live music and s’mores fixings by the fire. Additional beverages will be available for purchase.
