Powderade Pinnacle Mountain Bike Race Series Is Back Sponsored by Griggs Orthopedics allows for free registration for all

MT. CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. – June 15 – Now in its 18th year, the Powerade Pinnacle Mountain Bike Race Series continues to be a summer staple at Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR). The Evolution Bike Park offers the perfect race venue, allowing both cross-country and downhill events for dirt racing enthusiasts of all kinds. The weekly race series begins July 1, 2015 and continues over five consecutive Wednesday evenings through July 29.

Thanks to a continued partnership with Griggs Orthopedics, each race is free for all riders; cross-country, downhill and kids along with free food, drinks, and raffle prizes after each race. The focus is to continue to grow mountain bike racing in the Gunnison Valley, while enhancing the development of riders throughout the region in both the gravity and endurance disciplines.

It’s Summer Time in Crested Butte – time to open the resort operations! Lifts, Bike Trails, and More, starts June 13

MT. CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. – JUNE 02 – Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) is excited for the summer season to kick off on Saturday, June 13. The Red Lady and Silver Queen Express lifts start spinning at 9:30 a.m., whisking hikers and bikers up to explore the mountain. Restaurants, retail, kids’ programs and activities also open to begin another adventurous summer at the resort.

The Adventure Park at CBMR opens with the bungee trampolines, rock climbing wall, Flying Gopher Mini Golf course, the Coke Zero Gravity Bagjump, as well as the newest addition, the Tin Cup Mining Co. – a mining feature, where kids prospect for gems.

For those looking for a bite to eat, Jefe’s opens with hand-rolled burritos and tacos or enjoy the best deck in the base area at Butte 66 for in-house specialty barbeque, milkshakes, road house burgers and fresh salads.

MT. CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. – May. 28– Crested Butte Mountain Resort has put a lot of focus towards their mountain biking terrain since 2009. The Evolution Bike Park is one of the best bike parks in the state of Colorado, with 15 downhill specific trails covering 15 miles. To add to the excitement around the bike park, the resort is calling all downhill enthusiasts to compete in the Gravity Slave Downhill Mountain Bike Race for some gravity-fed fun. The event is designed to coincide with Crested Butte Bike Week (www.cbbikeweek.com), the longest running bike week in the country, allowing for mountain bike fans to try out their downhill skills during the week of festivities. Racers have the opportunity to ride the Evolution Bike Park on Saturday, June 27th for a closed course practice and the competition will take place on Sunday, June 28th on the bike park’s newest expert trail, Captain Jack.

A 3D ARCHERY COURSE – THE NEXT NEW THING AT CRESTED BUTTE MOUNTAIN RESORT
20 Targets along the 1.5 mile course

MT. CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. – May 14 – Crested Butte, Colorado is known as a great ski resort, the “Wildflower Capital of Colorado”, the Last Great Colorado Ski Town, the list could go on. For hunting enthusiasts, Crested Butte and the Gunnison Valley are also well known for their wildlife and game. In fact, the Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce has the 1899 World Record Elk shot in Gunnison County by John Plute, along with the gun he used.

After hosting the first annual West Elk Archers High Mountain Shootout last summer, Crested Butte Mountain Resort is excited to announce the addition of a fulltime 3D Archery course to the list of summer activities and the second annual High Mountain Shoot competition.

Archers will be able to access the 20 target course using the Red Lady Express Lift. The Red Lady lift runs daily from 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. and on Wednesdays and Friday evenings the lift runs late for Twilight hours until 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 and include a free beverage at Butte 66.

The Annual Free Wednesday Night Concert Series at Crested Butte Mountain Resort

MT. CRESTED BUTTE, Colo.
– May 14– Crested Butte Mountain Resort and the Mt. Crested Butte Town Center Community Association are excited to announce the 2015 summer line-up for the Live! From Mt. Crested Butte free Wednesday night concert series. From rock and roll to country, bluegrass and blues, the lineup is set to bring some great entertainment to the base area this summer.

July 1 – Todo Mundo (World)
July 8 – Jason Eady (Country)
July 15 – Humming House (Americana)
July 22 – Samantha Fish (Blues)
July 29 – Pokey La Farge (Early Jazz/Ragtime)
August 5 – Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real (Rock)
