Crested Butte Mountain Resort / Epic Pass

Crested Butte Mountain Resort is now a part of Vail Resorts. Please see below if you have purchased a Peak or Peak Plus Pass product or visit the Epic Pass FAQ for more information.

2018-19 Crested Butte Mountain Resort Pass Details:

If I already purchased a season pass at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, will they still be eligible for skiing and riding in the 2018-19 season?
Yes, Crested Butte Mountain Resort passes are eligible for skiing and riding in the 2018-19 ski season.

Is the 2018-19 season pass offering at Crested Butte Mountain Resort going to remain available for purchase?
Yes, for the 2018-19 season, Crested Butte Mountain Resort passes will remain available for purchase.

I already purchased one of the following passes: Crested Butte Peak Pass Plus and Peak Pass. Am I still eligible for 50 percent off lift tickets at all Vail Resorts owned mountain resorts?
Yes.  Eligible Peak Pass Plus, Peak Pass, Ultimate, Classic, Gold Pass, Full Ride, and Skiing is for Lift pass holders will receive 50 percent off lift tickets at all Vail Resorts owned and operated mountain resorts. This is currently available for the 2018-19 season, benefits past 2018-19 season will be announced at a later date.

If I keep my Crested Butte Mountain Resort pass, do I need a new pass card? 
Exact pass card requirements and process will be released this fall. This FAQ will be updated once the finalized plan is released, please check back weekly.

Epic Passes require the purchase of Pass Insurance for any type of pass refund. Is this now the case for Crested Butte Mountain Resort passes as well? 
Epic Passes are non-transferable and non-refundable. Pass refunds are available only where a guest purchased Pass Insurance and has a valid claim under the insurance policy. Refund policy details for an Okemo, Mount Sunapee, and Crested Butte pass will be announced soon.

Will the age variances between the Crested Butte Mountain Resort, and Epic Passes become the same?
For this year, Okemo, Mount Sunapee and Crested Butte passes will retain the same age breakouts as currently posted for the 2018-19 season. All existing Epic season pass products will also retain the same age breakouts as currently posted. Age breakouts for the 2019-20 season will be announced in Spring 2019.

Will the 6 and under pass continue to be issued?
Yes, the 6 and under season pass at each resort will continue to be available this year only. 

Are Crested Butte Mountain Resort passes eligible for Auto Renew?
No. The Crested Butte Mountain Resort passes are not eligible for Auto Renew. Auto Renew is the most convenient way to automatically renew your Epic Season Pass every year, while guaranteeing next season’s lowest price. When you sign-up for Auto Renew you will be charged $49 down in mid-April and the balance in mid-September.  For more information on how the process works and which passes qualify, visit the benefits section of epicpass.com.

Season Pass Benefits:
Will the Epic Pass have benefits at Crested Butte Mountain Resort?
Yes, Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass, Epic 7-Day, Epic 4-Day, Military Epic Pass and Epic Australia pass holders will have pass holder discounts at all three resorts.  Details will be released before opening day in the fall of 2018.

If I exchange my Crested Butte Mountain Resort pass for an Epic Pass, can I keep my benefits?
If you exchange passes, your benefits will change as well.  Should you upgrade to an Epic Pass, you will receive 6 Ski-With-A-Friend (SWAF) tickets and become a member of the Epic Pass Club. SWAF tickets are automatically loaded onto applicable passes and the price varies throughout the season. Pass holders just take their guest to a ticket window, present their pass and receive the discount. Will EpicMix be available at Crested Butte Mountain Resort in the 2018-19 season?
No. EpicMix is only available at these resorts: Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado; Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, Canada; Park City in Utah; Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood in Tahoe; Afton Alps in Minnesota and Mt. If I purchased my Crested Butte Mountain Resort season pass before the acquisition announcement on 6/4/2018 and I now want to upgrade to an Epic Pass, can I get the same Epic Pass price and benefits from 6/4/2018?
Guests exchanging an Okemo, Mount Sunapee, or Crested Butte pass product purchased prior to the acquisition announcement on 6/4/2018 will be eligible to upgrade or exchange to an Epic Season Pass product at the price and benefit offering available for that product on 6/4/2018 for a limited time.  For guests who purchased an Okemo, Mount Sunapee, or Crested Butte pass product after 6/4/2018, guests will be eligible to upgrade or exchange for an Epic Season Pass product at the price and benefit offering available for that product on 10/7/2018. Guests should use the following numbers based on the season pass product they purchased to process a refund exchange:

Changing or Upgrading Products: 

If I bought an Crested Butte Mountain Resort pass, am I entitled to a refund?
No.   However, we will be allowing pass holders who purchased an Okemo, Mount Sunapee or Crested Butte pass to exchange their pass for an Epic Season Pass product, should they want to.  Depending on the price difference between the two products, you will either be charged the balance or refunded the difference. Please note, exchanges for products purchased prior to the 6/4/2018 acquisition announcement will be eligible to receive pricing and benefits on their new pass in line with those available on the acquisition announcement date for a limited time. For those who purchased an Okemo, Mount Sunapee, or Crested Butte Season Pass after 6/4/2018, guests will be eligible to upgrade or exchange to an Epic Season Pass product at the price and benefit offering available for that product on 10/7/2018. Guests should use the following numbers based on the season pass product they purchased to process a refund exchange:

If I purchased a Crested Butte Mountain Resort season pass already can I exchange for a pass that has access to other resorts? 
Yes, you will be able to exchange for a season pass that includes all resorts such as the Epic Pass which will provide unlimited, unrestricted access to Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Crested Butte, and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado; Park City in Utah; Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood at Lake Tahoe; Stowe Mountain Resort and Okemo in Vermont; Mount Sunapee in New Hampshire; Afton Alps in Minnesota; Mt. Brighton in Michigan; Wilmot Mountain in Wisconsin; Whistler Blackcomb in Canada; Stevens Pass in Washington; and Perisher in Australia, with no blackout dates. The Epic Pass also features seven days with no blackout dates at Telluride in Colorado; seven days with no blackout dates at the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies; five consecutive days with no blackout dates at Hakuba Valley, Japan; up to six days with no blackout dates at Les 3 Vallées, Paradiski and Tignes-Val D’Isere in France; up to five days with no blackout dates at 4 Vallées in Switzerland; up to three days with no blackout dates at Arlberg in Austria; and up to three days with no blackout dates at Skirama Dolomiti in Italy. 

How do I exchange my Crested Butte Mountain Resort season pass for an Epic season pass product?
