Parking Lot Closure: CBMR’s main parking lot at the corner of Treasury and Emmons Road will be CLOSED starting Monday August 14 for the Outerbike event and will reopen the morning of Tuesday August 22 after cleanup is complete. Take the Mountain Express bus from town, or carpool and make sure to park in the lower free lot on Snowmass Road starting Monday August 14. Thank you!

Mountain Express

Mountain Express (MX) provides ground transportation services to residents of, and visitors to the Towns of Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte and the surrounding community. MX provides services without charge to riders. MX is funded by a portion of sales taxes collected by the towns and a portion of admission taxes collected by Mt. Crested Butte as well as State and Federal grants. The main transit hub in town is located at the Old Town Hall and at the Resort it is located at Mountaineer Square. 

MX operates between Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte.

Paid Parking

The Crested Butte Mountain Resort Parking Lot is located just past the Grand Lodge on Gothic Road. Turn left on Treasury Road and the parking lot is on your right. The parking lot is $12 per day during the winter and free during the summer. Depending on the snow we can typically accommodate 300 vehicles. 

Overnight parking is $25 per night. However, we do not allow camping overnight. We also ask that you do not bring your RV or camper to park overnight. 

Resort Parking Season Pass

Purchase a Crested Butte Mountain Resort Parking Pass for for the 2016/2017 season for $375. To reserve please call Skier Services at 970-349-2211

Free Parking

Free parking is available just past Treasury Road on your right. A second free parking lot is located just past The Plaza. Turn right on Snowmass Road and the lot is located past The Plaza covered parking lot on the right.  

When We Reach Capacity

Additional parking is available in town. We encourage guests to utilize the Mountain Express transportation service. During the winter and summer seasons these buses depart every 15 minutes and on peak days offer two buses per stop.
