Mountain Sports Team

Mountain Sports Team

2017-18 Registration Packet

Crested Butte Mountain Resort is pleased to offer its tenth season of comprehensive mountain sports programs that are available to a wide variety of athletes. Crested Butte Mountain Sports Team (CBMST) offers various levels of participation beginning with weekend development programs to full-time, competitive based programming. If your child is new to skiing or riding we strongly recommend the Cruisers program offered by our Ski & Ride School. This program serves as the start of our developmental pipeline. For more information on Cruisers click here. Plus new this year CBMR is excited to offer Mountain Adventures! This program is designed for young skiers and riders (ages 7 - 17), ability levels 5 - 8 (Intermediate to Advanced). Mountain Adventures will build the skills of each individual through exploration of the entire mountain and is also part of our development program. To learn more about Mountain Adventure click here

CBMST development programs will nurture already established fundamental technique by taking their personal skill set to a higher level in alpine racing, snowboarding, freeride, and telemark skiing. Development programs will introduce athletes to tactical and technical approaches while taking advantage of all the terrain the mountain has to offer.

The primary goal for our athletes is to set them up for success. With this in mind, we have created a developmental pipeline for our participants. This approach aids in creating an environment that allows coaches to focus on athletes’ developmental and skill level in a similar age range. They move through a system that teaches technical skills in skiing/riding and progresses them towards tactical skills within their specific discipline.

The following is an outline of the CBMST development programs for athletes and the disciplines offered for each team:

Junior Development Team “Jr. Devo's”
