OVER TWO FEET OF NEW SNOW EXPECTED!
The snow continues to fly here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort with another 2 inches on the ground in the last 24 hours, giving us 5 inches in the past 48 hours and just under two feet in the past week! It’s time to grab your gear and head to the slopes today, Saturday, February 28, 2015, to enjoy fresh pow shots on all 978 acres of terrain currently available, 310 of which have been laid out to the “Best Corduroy in Colorado” by our professional grooming staff. 14 lifts are spinning this morning to offer up lap after lap of powder turns on 94 diverse trails that are all blanketed in a super soft 49 inch base. If you’re looking to carve the best corduroy on the hill, point your tips toward Bushwacker, our groomer’s choice run of the day! If you’re an expert skier, then be sure to grab your beacon to get first dibs on some sick face shots on the newest 40 acres of expert terrain that opens today, Teocalli Bowl 2. The new insane terrain opens up at 9 am and the first 50 people with beacons will be making first tracks! Teo Bowl 2 can be accessed by taking the High Lift.
Come celebrate Uley Scheer, whom Uley’s Ice Cabin is named after. He is a legendary icon in the valley and was known for providing the valley with food and moonshine. The party starts at Uley’s Cabin, mid mountain, at 12 pm and runs until 3 pm. There will be snowshoe races, cinnamon rolls, prizes, a photo booth, and so much more! Make sure to stop by to join in the good times!
After your fun day on the slopes stop by Butte 66 for Free Aprèspalooza featuring Matisyahu. Concert starts at 4 p.m. and all ages are welcome!
This is no day to rest on the couch! With this system expected to drop OVER TWO FEET of NEW POWDER on us from now through Monday, A party at Uley’s, and a Matisyahu concert to attend, there really is no better place to be than Crested Butte Mountain Resort! Hope to see you all on the hill.
