We are excited to announce Leftover Salmon as the headliner for our FREE spring concert, SkiTown Breakdown!
Now in its seventh year, Crested Butte Mountain Resort will host its annual spring concert on March 18, 2017. Skitown Breakdown brings in national talent for a free show in the base area; engaging both locals and visiting guests to celebrate spring with live music.
Looking back over the past 25 years of rootsy, string-based music, the impact of Leftover Salmon is impossible to deny. Formed in Boulder at the end of 1989, the Colorado slamgrass pioneers took their form of aggressive bluegrass to rock and roll bars at a time when it wasn’t so common, helping Leftover Salmon become a pillar of the jam band scene and unwitting architects of the jamgrass genre.
The arrival of banjoist Andy Thorn in 2010 sparked a new era for Leftover Salmon, who soon began touring more regularly. 2012 saw the release of Aquatic Hitchhiker, their first new album since 2004. Two years later, they sealed the deal with a follow-up album, High Country. In 2015, a double-album compilation of live cuts called 25 was released to commemorate Leftover Salmon's 25th anniversary.
Don’t miss Leftover Salmon live in Mt. Crested Butte this spring!
