Program Overview

Mountain Adventures For Ages 7-14

Gear up for an adventure of a lifetime with Mountain Adventures, our fully state child-care licensed program. The camp is also permitted with the BLM and US Forest Service in the Gunnison National Forest. This summer day recreation program is for boys and girls ages 7 to 14 based in Mt. Crested Butte, Colorado. Explore the Gunnison Valley Mountains, raft rivers, paddleboard lakes, climb crags, hike trails, and take in the scenery by foot, bike, or paddleboard with a fly-rod in hand or while high on a cliff!  *Note: Parents must provide lunch.

Do you have a passion for mountain biking? Register now for our mountain bike program geared towards beginner and intermediate riders. Here your ability level will be assessed and you will be placed in a group catered to your riding ability. As an intermediate rider head up to Emerald Lake where you will shred one of Colorado’s most epic trails, the 401! Register now as availability is limited!

Our mission is to provide opportunities for personal growth and connection to the community through safe, educational, and fun adventure-based activities. We provide quality outdoor adventure experiences at an affordable cost for residents of the Crested Butte area as well as for second-homeowners and summer visitors. We believe that children grow and learn best in a supportive, nurturing environment in which participants feel safe to take on personal challenges. Mountain Adventures practices Leave-No-Trace ethics and Challenge-By-Choice learning. We offer a variety of activities from June to August.

The Mountain Adventures policies and procedures are available at check-in or please contact the Children’s Program Director at (970)-349-2233.
