Commitment to Our Community

Donation Day

In November 2017 for a simple $15 donation, skiers and riders were able to get a sneak peek of “the goods”.  Ultimately, over 775 lift tickets were sold to raise money for the Crested Butte Snowsports Foundation and local community of up-and-coming athletes!  The Crested Butte Snowsports Foundation is an organization dedicated to supporting local kids of the Crested Butte and Gunnison Valleys in their athletic pursuits on the mountain. We look forward to expanding this inaugural Donation Day into an annual tradition, and continuing to partner with local organizations!

Canned Food Drive

Twice a year Crested Butte Mountain Resort hosts a Canned Food Drive! Skiers and riders may receive discounted lift ticket for making a charitable donation of three cans of non-perishable food. In January 2018 Crested Butte Mountain Resort’s guests helped donate a huge amount of food! The Canned Food Drive supports both the Crested Butte and Gunnison Food Banks.

Annual Have a Heart Campaign

Crested Butte’s Annual Have a Heart Campaign is an annual employee contribution program. This annual campaign benefits the Community Foundation of the Gunnison Valley (CFGV). The campaign focuses on our Sustainability Value, and as the area’s largest employer, it is one of the many ways we show our community support. If 90% of a department staff participate, Crested Butte will match the funds collected. Staff are recognized for their support by receiving heart stickers to wear proudly on their nametag!

CBMR is committed to being an active member of the Gunnison Valley community and regularly provides donations for a wide variety of qualified requests.
