Misconception #1:
Snodgrass is only about increasing real estate values for CBMR and their partners.

Misconception #2:
If the Snodgrass Mountain project is stopped then the proposed North Village plan will also be stopped.

Misconception #3:
The ski industry is a threatened industry in rapid decline.

The ski industry is experiencing skier visit growth both nationally and in Colorado.

Misconception #4:
The terrain in the proposed Snodgrass expansion is south facing and will lose snow coverage quickly during the spring.

Fact:
Areas with proposed trails subject to prolonged sunlight or wind scour were designed to minimize the impact of these elements through strategic placement of inter-trail tree islands and reducing the trail width thereby maximizing shade from edge vegetation. In addition, the high altitude nature of the area will provide cold temperatures needed to ensure consistent quality snow condition.


Misconception #5:
US Forest Service (GMUG) land should not be used for private financial gain.

Fact:
The GMUG provides millions of dollars to Colorado’s economy through multiple uses ranging from mining and energy development to recreation and tourism.
