Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) has created a new season pass purchase option for 2009-2010. From now through July 31, 2009, the resort is offering financing on the purchase of all Platinum and Gold passes. The offer includes a $40 processing fee, and allows buyers to make four equal payments over four months: July, August, September and October 2009.

This year’s jam-packed July 4th celebration in the Gunnison Valley includes an evening of entertainment for all ages in Mt. Crested Butte. The festivities include the grand opening of the resort’s new Adventure Park – complete with climbing tower, bungee trampolines and a year-round synthetic ice rink – as well as BBQ and beer at Butte 66, live music from the Casey James Prestwood Band, and a fitting finale of fireworks at dusk.

Crested Butte Breaks the 200 Inch Snow Mark

A major winter storm moved into the area on Friday and proceeded to pummel the legendary slopes of Crested Butte throughout the weekend. Skiers and riders have been treated to four straight powder days and in total a whopping 39 inches of snow has fallen during this storm cycle. This epic weekend storm has all of Crested Butte grinning from ear to ear, and has also managed to bring Crested Butte’s season snowfall accumulation to 202 inches – over 16 feet.

Crested Butte rings in the New Year by opening the coveted North Face Lift, making some of the world-famous Extreme Terrain open for business! On January 2 at 9am, the North Face Lift will offer access to 250 acres of newly open terrain including The Glades, Tower 11 and North Face areas. Crested Butte surpassed 100 inches of natural snow for this ski season with over 18 inches of fresh powder in the last 24 hours. In the last 10 days, over 6 feet of snow has blanketed the mountain, bringing the total to 103 inches for the season.

Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) is enjoying early season snowfall with the first serious system of the season coming in last night and this morning. This storm is bringing welcome winter weather to the area dropping approximately four fresh inches last night, another two to four today, and eight to 16 inches is forecast over the next two days. These ideal conditions will allowed CBMR to begin snowmaking operations in the early morning hours of November 5th. Operations are on track for the coming ski season which kicks off on opening day, November 26th - a mere 21 days away.
