About: Casey James Prestwood started playing music when he was 13 growing up in the South.  He has released numerous records under different band names: Hot Rod Circuit, The Don't Tells, and The Only Children.  He started out playing lead guitar then got heavily into pedal steel guitar, which he played with The Only Children, Limbeck, and Drag the River.

Casey had always liked the older country music that his grandparents used to listen to and watch on the "Grand Ole Opry," but it wasn't until he discovered Gram Parsons that he really became a country fan. This is when he started singing and finding his musical niche.

The Casey James Prestwood features Casey on vocals, Adam Stern on lead guitar (Double Parked), Stork on bass (Mighty High, Dylan 66), Kate Prestwood on the Wurlitzer piano, and Kevin Finn on drums (Psychobilly Cadillac, Hair Force One). The band has one release out now, The Hurtin' Kind, and are currently working on their second recording.  This Denver-based band is playing around the state where they often hear: "I didn't know I liked country music until I saw this band play."

About the CBMR Adventure Park

New for summer 2009, Crested Butte Mountain Resort introduces the base area Adventure Park featuring year-round ice skating, bungee trampolines and a climbing wall. The Crested Butte Mountain Resort Adventure Park opens for the summer season on July 4.

The Adventure Park is anchored by an ice skating rink made from Super-Glide® synthetic ice and represents the first synthetic ice-skating facility in Colorado. Super-Glide synthetic ice is a high-tech skating surface created by skaters for skaters. The rink was recycled from the American Museum of Natural History in New York, NY, where it was part of a display on climate change. Skaters can toe loop to their heart’s content each day and into the evening thanks to on-site lighting.

The bungee trampolines provide a turbo-charged, gravity-defying ride up to 30 feet in the air. The device uses multiple bungee cords transforming the traditional trampoline into an adrenaline-induced grin enhancer. Jumpers are able to reach incredible heights in a secure environment, allowing them to explore acrobatic movements and somersaults, or to simply jump as high as they can into the thin air.

The Climbing Pinnacle features a 28-foot, 6-route tower with auto-belay. The routes range in difficulty from beginner to expert and are geared toward climbers of all ages and ability levels. The views from the top are well worth the climb.

The Adventure Park is open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily throughout the summer. Pricing options are varied and include: the Adventure Ticket for unlimited use of the Red Lady Express and Silver Queen chairlifts, as well as ice skating, climbing wall, bungee trampoline, and disc golf rentals per day ($15 for kids 6 and under, $30 for kids 7 – 17, $40 for adults 18-plus, $30 for seniors 65-plus); the Summer Adventure Pass includes unlimited lift rides and unlimited Adventure Park activities, including ice-skating, climbing wall, bungee trampoline, and disc golf rentals per season ($99 for children, adults and seniors if purchased by July 4); Adventure Park access only includes use of the activities in the Adventure Park ($15 for kids, $25 for adults, $15 for seniors); and á la carte activity passes are also available ($10 per activity).
