Press ReleasesEXTRAORDINARY ADVENTURE AWAITS AT CAMP CB - Camp CB’s Passport to Adventure encourages exploration and discovery all based around the resort’s mountain location. Programming for kids ages 5 - 12 ranges from Animals of CB – an introduction to facts, tracks and habitats of local critters, and Forest Discovery – exploring and discovering the trees, grasses and wildflowers native to the surrounding backcountry, to Mining of CB – a trip through the past via the mines and miners of Crested Butte, to Clowning Around – relay races, capture the flag, kickball and outdoor fun, and Wild Goose Chase – clue-based scavenger hunts complete with hidden treasure. The littlest adventurers can also explore the virtues of CBMR via the resort’s Camp CB Nursery (ages 2 months to 4 years). Parents can rest assured their miniature Magellan’s are in expert hands, allowing them to conquer mountains and pursue their own adventures in Crested Butte. Infants (2 to 18 months old) enjoy hands-on care with a two-to-one infant to attendant ration. Toddlers (19 months to 3 years old) begin to explore their world with organized activities, arts and crafts, games, outdoor play (weather permitting) and quiet time. Children with a bit more energy and enthusiasm can sample many of the programs offered in the Passport to Adventure program through Mini Camp (ages 3 to 4 years). The program features activities tailored to the hiking and energy level of this age group, encouraging them to enjoy the mountain environment at their own pace. Mini Camp is a great segue to Camp CB’s Passport to Adventure. The daily rate for Camp CB Passport to Adventure is $65 and lunch is included. The resort offers a 10-pack option featuring a savings of $200 over the daily rate; the 10-pack is $450. Camp CB Nursery pricing is $99 for a full day, $75 for a half-day and $25 per hour (lunch is included for toddlers). The Nursery 10-pack is $650 (a savings of $340). For a daily activity schedule visit www.skicb.com or call 970-349-2259 to make reservations. Participants should bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a raincoat and warm layers (fleece or like material). Parents and grandparents can get a jump-start on a CBMR summer getaway, including Camp CB fun with the Family Adventure Package. The package features two nights of lodging and two days of Camp CB starting at $299. The offer is based upon a two night stay Sunday through Thursday in an Emmons Studio or Standard King Suite at Grand Lodge Crested Butte, and includes two days of Camp CB for one child (age 5 – 12). Prices may vary based upon dates of travel. Price is quoted prior to taxes and fees; Camp CB is not available on Sundays. For reservations, more package options and lodging information visit www.skicb.com. Nestled in the heart of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, Crested Butte is committed to preserving the pristine landscape and mountain lifestyle. With vibrant Victorian store-fronts and expressive local characters, the small historic town remains true to its heritage and radiates an unparalleled welcoming and inviting spirit that celebrates a simpler life and time. Thanks to a widely diverse landscape, whether beginner or burgeoning national champion, outdoor enthusiasts of all levels will find a new challenge with each visit. From world-class mountain biking, to legendary skiing and snowboarding, to a secluded fly-fishing experience, Crested Butte is one of Colorado’s best-kept secrets.
