New Air Access and Special Travel Programs Make it Easier to Fly, Play and Stay at Crested Butte Mountain Resort this Winter
New Packages and Air Programs Save a Family of Four an Average $700 When Booking Early 

July 8, 2008 -Crested Butte, Colorado - This winter skiers and snowboarders have more choices when flying direct to Crested Butte Mountain Resort as the ski area and the Gunnison Valley Rural Transportation Authority have teamed up to increase the amount of seats flying into Gunnison/Crested Butte Regional Airport for the 2008-2009 season. In addition to the new flights from new destinations, CBMR is providing travelers with incentives to make traveling to the destination easier with a special "Friends & Family Fly Free" promotion and a $30 First Baggage credit offer.

New Air Service
Travelers now have the option to fly direct to Crested Butte from new markets that include Salt Lake City, Chicago and Atlanta - all popular hubs allowing skiers and snowboarders a one-stop option to access CBMR. Delta Air Lines will offer the new service from Salt Lake City and Atlanta, while American Airlines will provide direct service from Chicago. American will continue to offer daily, non-stop flights from Dallas/Forth Worth throughout the winter and United Airlines will continue to provide three daily, non-stop flights from Denver.

The increase in air service translates into 15 percent more seats (or an additional 6,000 seats) available for travel into the Gunnison/Crested Butte Regional Airport.

"With airlines scaling back due to fuel costs and economic pressures, we found a way to provide skiers and snowboards with more options that give convenient access to Crested Butte next winter," said Vice President and Chief Marketing Office Ken Stone. "In addition to the new service, we've developed special offers to provide travelers with more value when flying to Crested Butte next winter. These special offers can save a family of four an average of $700 per trip when booking early and booking their ski vacation through Crested Butte Vacations."

 
Special Air Travel Offers
To compliment the new air service into Crested Butte, CBMR is offering free airline tickets through its "Friends and Family Fly Free" promotion featuring one free airline ticket for every two airline tickets purchased. Available through Crested Butte Vacations, this special offer includes five nights lodging, four days of lift tickets, airfare and ground transportation beginning at $720 per person based on a family or group of four people.

In addition, the ski area is issuing $30 baggage credits - $15 per way - for the first bag checked by each traveler in and out of the Gunnison/Crested Butte Regional Airport. This special offer is in conjunction with accommodations purchased through Crested Butte Vacations and a five night minimum stay is required. Accommodations must be reserved by Nov. 6, 2008.

These two offers can be combined for travel if booked by Nov. 6, 2008. Bookings after this date cannot combine the "Friends and Family Fly Free" and baggage credit offers. Other restrictions apply, please visit www.skicb.com for details.

New at CBMR for 2008-2009 Season
CBMR is planning a number of enhancements for the 2008-2009 winter season that are focused on creating an enhanced guest experience. In addition to the expanded airline service this winter guests can expect an upgraded and remodeled Treasury Center, a new "Kids Base Camp" is replacing Kids World, on-mountain terrain expansion in Teocalli Bowl, glading and brush cutting on the mountain. Along with these improvements, the resort base area hotels continue to expand guest amenities and services as the Elevation Hotel & Spa recently completed a $25 million renovation. The Lodge at Mountaineer Square, Elevation Hotel & Spa and the Grand Lodge recently were accepted and are now part of the prestigious Preferred Hotel Group.
