Conveniently located slope side, the Crested Butte Rental and Demo center offers great service, a great location and top notch ski and snowboard gear.  As your leading rental shop for the latest equipment from Nordica, Burton, Rossignol, Atomic, Salomon and more we now offer package deals specially designed for each level of skiing and snowboarding to get the most out of your gear and take you to the next level on the slopes.

Our passionate, knowledgeable staff will get you in the door and line up your rentals with personalized care and attention to detail.  They can fit you into the best of our 3 tier rental system for your ability and get you set up for a sweet day on the mountain.  Forgot any of your essential ski or snowboard items?  We also have Smith helmets and goggles, Bolle goggles, Dakine and Grandoe gloves and mittens to keep your hands toasty and most importantly, sunscreen to keep you protected from the beautiful mountain sun.

Are you an intermediate skier who always goes with the basic rental because they don’t think they are ready for the Pro/Demo package?  Not anymore!  New to the Crested Butte Rental and Demo Center the Select All Mountain Ski Rental offers you better gear and more performance than your beginner and recreational skier equipment in the Sport rental package.  These skis are engineered to help intermediate skiers progress on the hard pack and explore and challenge more of the mountain.  Soon you will be shredding down the mountain smoother and getting a feel for more high performance skis for a better value!

At the end of the day on the mountain or if you just need a break, Crested Butte Rental and Demo Center always offers free ski and snowboard storage daily at the Outpost.

Package Descriptions

Pro/Demo Ski and Snowboard Rental

Try this season’s best skis and snowboards.  This package is for the skier or snowboarder who wants to experience what the latest technology can do for his or her skiing and snowboarding.  Choose from a variety of the newest and very best in of our ski and snowboard collection from Atomic, Rossignol, Salomon, Nordica, and Ramp. Available as a full package, ski or snowboard only, or boots only.

New - All Mountain Select Ski Rental

Better performance and user-friendly equipment translates to a wonderful experience on the mountain.  Check out our mid-level all mountain ski to challenge the entire mountain in all conditions and terrain. Available as a full package, and skis only.

Sport Ski and Snowboard Rental

For the first time or all-around recreational skier or snowboarder, we have the Salomon skis and Burton learn to ride.  This is our most economical package. Available as a full package, ski or snowboard only, or boots only.

Snowshoes
Snowshoeing is a great alternative winter activity for adults and children of all ages.  Snowshoeing opportunities in the immediate area range from mild to wild. We also offer daily, guided snowshoe tours on the ski area with rentals available for shoers of all ages, sizes and abilities.  For information on tours please call the Adventure Desk - 1.800.810.7669

Helmets
Helmets are available in child and adult sizes and on a first-come first-served basis. No reservations.

Reservations and Information
Crested Butte Rental & Demo Center located slope side in the Treasury Center.
Open 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. 7 days a week 

• All rates do not include tax or damage insurance (optional).
• Reservations are highly recommended and must be received and processed within 48 hours of arrival during regular season.
• 7 day lead-time during high-volume periods is necessary to ensure availability.
• Equipment is available for rent on a per item basis. Contact us for ski and boot only rates.
