BARENAKED LADIES
The members of Guster, Adam Gardner, Ryan Miller and Brian Rosenworcel formed the band while attending Tufts University in 1991. Known for such singles as “Amsterdam”, “Satellite”, and their current single, “Do You Love Me?”, Guster continues to maintain a strong college fanbase. Guster is also leading the way with their initiatives to make a difference by “greening” tours of major music acts including The Dave Matthews Band and John Mayer. Guster guitarist, Adam Gardner and his wife Lauren Sullivan founded Reverb in 2004. Reverb raises awareness and support through the efforts of an interactive eco-village that travels with major headlining acts.
BIG HEAD TODD AND THE MONSTERS The band was formed in 1986 with Todd Park Mohr on guitar and vocals, Brian Nevin on drums and vocals and Rob Squires on bass and vocals. The trio had attended Columbine High School together. Mohr attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado and transferred to the University of Colorado to join Nevin and Squires. The three began touring clubs in Denver, Fort Collins, and Boulder as Big Head Todd and the Monsters in 1987. The band soon built up a following throughout Colorado and the West. They toured extensively throughout the Mountain States and West Coast of the United States in their van dubbed ‘The Colonel’, which was driven over 400,000 miles. After a few records, and years of touring, they embellished their basic three-piece sound with the addition of keyboardist Corey Mauser and vocals from Hazel Miller, demonstrating their broadening style and sound to audiences all over.
The Pete Kilpatrick Band hails from the coastal city of Portland, Maine. They have been named Maine’s best act four times in the Portland Best Music Awards and have performed over 1,000 shows since their formation. They have been referred to as a “folk singer-songwriter with a rock ‘n’ roll band,” and the band feels that’s a perfect title. Band members Pete Morse, Tyler Stanley, Matt Cosby, and Ed Dickhaut are five close friends who have a deep appreciation for writing and performing music. About FestEVOL: FestEVOL is back! Come to Crested Butte Mountain Resort for a unique lifestyle experience combining mountain sports, live music, innovative natural brands and a sustainably focused "eco-village." Headline bands for 2012 include Barenaked Ladies on Saturday and Guster/Big Head Todd and the Monsters on Sunday! “It is our goal to give our FestEVOL attendees a weekend escape where they can enjoy great music, awesome snow and delicious food with their friends and families,” said Andrew Jaffe, EVOL Foods vice president of marketing. “In its second year, FestEVOL is going to be better and more exciting with the music of Barenaked Ladies and Guster.” “We love to ski and board at all three of these resorts,” said Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies. “Being a part of FestEVOL allows us to share our passion for music and winter snow sports with all of our loyal fans.”
