Press CenterWelcome! Crested Butte is a town where the outdoors is a mandatory way of life and where passions for the mountains radiate from everyone around. As the “Wildflower Capital of Colorado” and boasting some of the country’s most notable mountain bike and hiking trails, CB should be on everyone’s list of places to visit this summer and beyond. Crested Butte Mountain Resort is no different and the summertime offerings have grown tremendously over the last few years with the Evolution Bike Park being established in 2009; now offering over 25 miles of trails and more to come this summer. The resort also added the Adventure Park in 2008, the Zipline Tour in 2011 and this year we have the new Coke Zero Gravity BagJump for an adrenaline inducing leap. Each year we continue to bring more events to town to give visitors an unforgettable experience in Crested Butte, such as the Live from Mt. Crested Butte Free Music Series, every Wednesday, in conjunction with the Pinnacle bike race series, that now offers both gravity and cross country races every Wednesday, beginning July 10. The Crested Butte Music Festival will be hosting Bluegrass in Paradise in the base area and we will again have Friday Night Pedal ‘n Groove nights, with free lift rides and music for everyone. And that’s just the beginning of things to do on the mountain. The community welcomes everyone with open arms to enjoy “our little slice of heaven”. As a resort, we hope our guests, and you as a journalist, feel this passion and the authenticity of the community.
