Zipline TourZipline this Winter!
Advanced reservations are highly recommended. To make reservations, call (970) 349-2211 or stop by the Adventure Center. There will be a $25 cancellation fee per person. Helpful Tips What if I’ve never done this? No experience required! Our certified Zip Guides give an orientation prior to your trip. A short familiarization session on our practice zip will prepare you for the tour. Your safety is our number 1 priority. We meet in the heated zip line yurt for introductions and a safety briefing.
How long is a tour? Most trips take around 2 hours. There are no restrooms available during the tour.
Are there fitness or physical requirements or limitations? The tour does have a limiting weight range. Participants must fit into a harness and weigh between 70lbs and 250lbs. Participants should be in average physical condition. Our tour requires the ability to lift both knees up and grip with both hands. A short walk in the snow from our Zip Yurt to Peachtree Lift allows access to the zip line facility.
Health Concerns or Medical Conditions? Any person with a medical or heath concern must consult a physician to help decide if they are healthy enough to participate. We reserve the right to exclude a participant for any medical or safety concern. Please contact us to if you have any questions about your participation in a Zip Tour.
Is there an age limit? There is no age limit for Zip Tours! All children age 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult at a ratio of 1 adult to 2 kids. Our baseline requirement is that participants weigh between 70lbs - 250lbs.
Can non-participants watch? The tour is partially visible from the base area. The final leg of the tour is easily viewable for non-participants near the Whetstone building.
What should I wear? Dress warm, be ready for winter temperatures. Gloves and hats are a recommended (hats with a pom-pom don’t fit under our helmets). We recommend warm shoes or boots that will stay on while you are zipping. Snow boots or snowboard boots work great, however ski boots are not allowed. We provide helmets however ski/snowboard helmets are allowed. Loose clothing (scarves, handkerchiefs, etc.) are prohibited.
What should I bring? · Hair ties for long hair. Hair must be tied back and secured. · Small backpack are welcome. · Any emergency medication (e.g. epinephrine autoinjector) or medication required for physical activity (e.g. asthma inhaler). Please make your guide aware of any medications.
What should I leave behind? · Leave anything you are required to carry with your hands. · Any food or beverage besides a water bottle. · Gum or tobacco products. · Valuables or loose jewelry should be left in a vehicle or at home. We have lockers located in the Treasury Building at the base area. Crested Butte Zip Line Tours is not responsible for any lost or stolen, or damaged items.
When are your trips? We operate 7 days a week with multiple trips each day. Please contact the Adventure Center for tour schedule.
Should I make a reservation? Yes! While they are not required, we do recommend reserving your zip line tour. You can make a reservation online or call us at 970-349-2211.
Do you operate tours when it is snowing? We operate rain or shine. However, tours can be canceled or delayed due to adverse weather.
