2013 Safety Week Schedule

SATURDAY, 1/19 – Daily Safety Tip: Know the Code - Always stay in control, and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects. 
     •  9:00 AM – 1:30 PM – Touch a Fire Truck, SnowCat and Snowmobile, Base Area       
     •  9:00 AM - 2:30 PM  – Subaru Master the Mountain – mini lessons, hot cocoa & more, Base Area
     •  10:00 AM - 2:00 PM – Smart Style Station, Cascade and Canaan Terrain Parks
     •  2:00 PM – Avalanche Dog Demonstrations presented by the Crested Butte Ski Patrol, Base Area
     •  1:30 – 2:30 PM – Helmet Decorating Extravaganza, Trailhead Children’s Museum
     •  All Day – CBMR Safety Tents with stickers, buttons and safety tips, Base Area & Paradise
     •  All Day – Forest Service Tent with Junior Snow Ranger activities & Smokey the Bear, Base Area

SUNDAY, 1/20 – Daily Safety Tip: Know the Code - People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them. 
     •  9:00 AM - 2:30 PM  – Subaru Master the Mountain – mini lessons, hot cocoa & more, Base Area
     •  10:00 AM - 2:00 PM – Smart Style Station, Cascade and Canaan Terrain Parks

MONDAY, 1/21–  Daily Safety Tip: Know the Code - You must not stop where you obstruct a trail, or are not visible from above.        
     •  2:00 PM – Avalanche Dog Demonstrations presented by the Crested Butte Ski Patrol, Base Area

     •  All Day – CBMR Safety Tents with stickers, buttons and safety tips, Base Area & Paradise

TUESDAY, 1/22– Daily Safety Tip: Know the Code - Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look uphill and yield to others. 
     •  3:00 - 6:00 PM – Health Fair, Outside Spellbound Pizza in the Treasury Center
     •  All Day – CBMR Safety Tents with stickers, buttons and safety tips, Base Area & Paradise

WEDNESDAY, 1/23 –  Daily Safety Tip: Know the Code - Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment. 
     •  2:00 PM – Avalanche Dog Demonstrations presented by the Crested Butte Ski Patrol, Base Area

     •  All Day – CBMR Safety Tents with stickers, buttons and safety tips, Base Area & Paradise

THURSDAY, 1/24 – Daily Safety Tip: Know the Code - Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas. 
     •  All Day – CBMR Safety Tents with stickers, buttons and safety tips, Base Area & Paradise

FRIDAY, 1/25 – Daily Safety Tip: Know the Code - Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride and unload safely. 
     •  2:00 PM – Avalanche Dog Demonstrations presented by the Crested Butte Ski Patrol, Base Area

     •  All Day – CBMR Safety Tents with stickers, buttons and safety tips, Base Area & Paradise

     •  11:00 AM – Chairlift Safety Demonstration, Learning Center Area in front of Camp CB
     •  2:00 PM – Avalanche Dog Demonstrations presented by the Crested Butte Ski Patrol, Base Area
