Wednesdays with Wendy Fisher Ski Camps
High Beginner / Intermediate: January 4th, February 1st, February 29th
High Advanced / Expert: January 11th, February 8th, March 7th
Time 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Wendy Fisher, local Olympian and freeskiing expert, is again hosting Wednesday ski clinics at Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR). In the 2011-2012 season, Wendy will lead two separate learning options based upon ability level: one for high beginner/intermediate skiers on the first Wednesday of each month; the other for high intermediate advanced/expert skiers on the second Wednesday of each month.

Participants can expect to learn how to ski with more fluidity, and how to work the terrain differently to enhance the on-mountain experience. We’ll focus on improving each participant’s technique and confidence and we’ll determine our destination based upon the comfort level of the group.

Intermediate Skiers
Jan 4th, Feb 1st & Feb 29th, 2012
Lesson Time: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm

This lesson is ideal for the Intermediate skier who has not yet experienced Crested Butte’s Extremes or is not comfortable with this type of terrain. Participants learn to ski with more fluidity and how to work the terrain differently to enhance their on-mountain experience. Wendy’s clinics focus on improving each skier’s technique and style. The comfort level of the group will determine the day’s destinations. Each clinic is geared toward building confidence in preparation for tackling CBMR’s famed Extreme Terrain

Advanced Intermediate/Expert Skiers
Jan 11th, Feb 8th & March 7th, 2012
Lesson Time: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm

The goal is to adventure into the Crested Butte’s Extreme Terrain and to help individuals get to know this area of the mountain better. Participants learn to ski the Extremes with more fluidity to make their skiing style more effortless. Wendy’s expertise translates to improved technique and a greater level of confidence by learning the safest way to work the terrain to enhance the experience. This clinic is designed to help participants thoroughly enjoy their extreme skiing experience at CBMR.

Women’s Wednesday Clinics are for local women and taught by women instructors. These clinics are a great way for local women to ski and ride together, and an excellent opportunity to learn new skills on the slopes. Price $55.00

Local's Tele Program 
1st Sunday of every month
10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. 

The Locals Tele Program is a chance for local telemark skiers to get together, hit the slopes, and learn new skills with one of the telemark instructors.

Kids Local Programs

Cruiser Camp
Ages 4 - 15 for skiers and 7 - 15 for snowboarders  
    
The Cruiser Camp program focuses on improving each kid's skiing or snowboarding skills while providing a fun and safe learning environment.  The teaching objectives for Cruiser Camp include teaching fundamental skills and on-hill etiquette at all levels.  Cruiser Camp promotes an environment of confident skiing and riding by teaching in terrain appropriate for the abilities of the group.

Kids are therefore grouped together according to their ability levels, ages and motivations, and will explore the mountain based on the skills of the group.  Each group will remain with their assigned instructor for the length of the program providing a stable environment and core peer group. This program does not include lunch and sack lunch is highly recommended. There are no make up days or refunds on this program, please plan accordingly.

Mini Cruisers - $330
Ages 3 - 5 
Available on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting in January

The Mini Cruiser program is a ski program designed for children 3-5 years old who want to be introduced to the winter sport and ski around with a little buddy. The Mini Cruisers program is a two hour lesson for two children offered every Wednesday or Saturday for 8 weeks. Having the same instructor and ski buddy offers stability and develops a child’s self-confidence.

If your little one does not have a buddy to ski with, we will match them up with another child of similar abilities and motivations upon seeing them ski the first week. This will be done in a safe environment with the Mini Cruiser Supervisor assigning instructors to each group according to ability and group chemistry.

Our time slots are from 10:00 – 12: 00 p.m. or 1:00- 3:00 p.m., beginning Wednesday, January 4th and ending Saturday, February 25th, 2012. No make up dates will be allowed.

Registration for Mini – Cruisers is due by December 16, 2011
