Dining Out and Dancing the Night Away in Crested Butte
Crested Butte is home to more gourmet restaurants than any other town of its size in Colorado; for a true culinary adventure set out to try them all. The area is home to three sushi spots, six pizza parlors and more than thirty bars. And, of course, guests to Crested Butte will also find everything in between. The suggestions below will provide a jumping off point.

On-Mountain Eats
The Ice Bar Restaurant
Serving gourmet lunches of upscale regional American Cuisine with French influences, and exotic drinks at a bar made completely out of ice, CBMR’s Ice Bar is a one-of-a-kind on-mountain experience. Sip on a specialty beverage at the end of the day on the large sunny deck, and enjoy the beautiful vistas, or indulge in a decadent – and adventurous – evening out. The Ice Bar is located on the mountain at the base of the Twister Lift and is open for lunch and evening Last Tracks and Sleigh Ride dinners. Last Tracks dinners include a gourmet meal followed by skiing or riding down the mountain after dark. The Ice Bar will receive a makeover this summer, which will nearly double the size of the existing space increasing the capacity to 63 in the dining room, 12-15 in the lounge and 20 at the outside bar. The existing deck will also be expanded. The new design will feature a simple, subtle and understated feel with rustic undertones and an intimate setting. The building will be completed in November 2009. Reservations are required for Last Tracks and Sleigh Ride dinners and recommended for lunch.  For information and reservations call 970-349-2275.

Mt. Crested Butte’s Best
9380 Prime
This new base area dining experience features two distinct dining venues: 9380 for casual breakfast, lunch and après options, and Prime for dinner with contemporary Colorado chop house flair. Ski-in/ski-out in the true sense of the term, the outdoor bar and deck can’t be beat for soaking up the sunshine during the day, and stargazing by the crackling fire in the evening. For reservations call 970-251-3030.

Butte 66
The most popular après ski bar and eatery on the mountain offers live music, great lunches, daily drink specials, and their BBQ specialties: beef brisket, pulled pork and BBQ ribs with three distinctive sauces. Don’t forget the fried pickles and sweet potato fries! The huge outdoor deck has the best slopeside mountain views at the ski area. Open for lunch, après ski & happy hour and early twilight dinner. Grab N' Go Breakfast is available starting at 8 a.m. For reservations call 970-349-2999.

django’s
For creativity and variety in all sizes and flavors, django’s is the go-to in Mt. Crested Butte. The full menu includes 21 contemporary small plates with daily features – some wildly inventive and others more familiar. Visitors and locals feel equally at home in this casually elegant restaurant located on the plaza in Mountaineer Square. django’s has an incredible selection of wines from around the world, offered by the bottle, the quartino or in flights. The restaurant also delivers to Lodge at Mountain Square guests – another great reason to book a condo here. Call 970-349-7574 for information and reservations.

Bakery at Mt. Crested Butte & The Brown Labrador Pub
A Mt. Crested Butte tradition, the Bakery features a wonderful assortment of breakfast and lunch items, and fresh-baked calzones and pizzas made from scratch are available all day long. The outdoor deck is another great option for après, featuring daily drink specials. The Bakery is located slopeside and opens daily at 7 a.m. Call 970-349-4757 for information.

Top of the Town
Camp 4 Coffee
Camp 4 Coffee serves the "Best Coffee in Colorado," breakfast burritos, sandwiches, muffins, and other snacks. Take some Camp 4 Coffee to brew at home, or order it online. Visit Camp 4 Coffee at the two mountain locations - at the base area or on-mountain at the top of Painter Boy lift. There is also an in-town location at 4th and Elk in the historic license plate house, and another in CB South. Call 970-349-5148 for information.

Izzy’s
Come have breakfast or lunch creekside at Izzy's, located behind the post office just off Elk Avenue. Try one of the fantastic deli sandwiches on homemade bread, or a stuffed Mediterranean crepe. Izzy’s serves bagels and homemade potato latkes for breakfast, in addition to many other favorites. They also make homemade soups, bagels, muffins and cookies daily from scratch. Come in for lunch, a pick-me-up cappuccino and cookie, or try one of many delicious dessert crepes. It is the perfect place to start the day. Open 7 a.m.-2 p.m. daily. Call 970-349-5630 for information.

Lobar
"The hipster element of Crested Butte." Located downstairs in the historic Company Store, the Lobar is a combination lounge and sushi bar. With blends of Japanese and Asian cuisine, the Lobar has an eclectic menu featuring sushi, grilled meats, and vegetarian selections. After 10pm on the weekends, the restaurant morphs into a stylish nightclub with a dance floor, music, plasma screens with visuals, plush couches, and a fireplace. Come to the Lobar for sake and sushi, or for a late night martini. For information or reservations call 970-349-0480.

Teocalli Tamale
Tasty, fresh lime margaritas, handmade tamales, a huge selection of burritos and tacos, affordable prices and lightning-fast service - what more could anyone ask? The fresh salsas include mild tomato, salsa verde, roasted chile corn, and a hot smoky chipotle. Burritos and tacos feature slow-cooked shredded beef, marinated and grilled steak or chicken, gourmet veggies, and blackened mahi-mahi. Try one of the many unique creations - a chile pesto or spicy Thai burrito with peanut sauce. Dine in and enjoy a drink from the large selection of Mexican beers, or take it to go. A fresh and healthy alternative, the Tamale is open every day at 7 a.m. for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night. Call 970-349-2005 for information.

The Secret Stash
Voted “best pizza in Crested Butte” since opening in 2002, the Secret Stash is the place not to miss. Skiing Magazine called it, "The hip joint on Elk Avenue.” Locals call it the funkiest pizza place ever. Set in an historic, 100-year-old miner's cabin, Crested Butte Iron Chef and dough master, Jeff Graceffa, serves made-from-scratch, hand tossed gourmet pizzas, grilled Asian style BBQ wings, fresh salads, and more. A full service bar and limitless beverage possibilities also abound. The decor has been collected from the world travels of the owners, who have visited over 70 countries around the globe. Small, intimate rooms with big, comfy chairs, and Japanese style floor seating on overstuffed pillows under an exotic canopy are just a few of the seating options. The Secret Stash is a truly unique pizza joint.
