Market Update (as of Oct. 31, 2010)

- $ volume is up 5%
- Average price is down 4%
- Average days on market is down 6%
In the Upper East River Valley, the year-over-year number of residential sales are up 10%; however, the average price decreased 4%. The resulting total dollar volume is up 5%.
It is still a buyer’s market but the price decreases are slowing and the volume is increasing. This was a trend in other markets that are now seeing slow price appreciation. With signs of relative stability and prospects for a good ski season ahead, the environment for motivated sellers to connect with savvy buyers has not looked this good in years.
