Precious Metal Clay Jewelry Making | February 4 - 5
Those new to PMC and those who’ve taken a class before are invited to join this two-day workshop. Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is a crafting medium with the consistency of polymer clay, comprised of very small particles of silver. Be guided through molding and shaping the PMC into beautiful pendants, earrings or bracelets. Intermediate students can choose to create a ring or hinged bracelet. The jewelry is then fired in a tabletop kiln, where the binder in the PMC burns away, incredibly leaving 99% pure silver pieces of jewelry. Finish your piece by creating a patina, burnishing, polishing and finally assembling the silver into a wearable piece of jewelry.
