We’re Open for the Weekends!

Crested Butte We’re Open for the Weekends!

Summer may be coming to an end but that means fall is here! Enjoy the Evolution Bike Park, scenic chairlift rides, the Adventure Park and numerous dining options open Friday, Saturday and Sunday through October 2.

Evolution Bike Park

Some may say there’s no better time to mountain bike than in the fall. Smooth, tacky, perfect dirt. Fly through the aspens, get muddy during an afternoon rain storm and share the stoke. The Evolution Bike Park is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through October 2. With over 30 miles of single track there are trails for everyone. We recommend Hotdogger for first-timers. Or be sure to check out our recommended progression strategy and test your skills on a more difficult trail. There’s plenty of weekend riding to be had through the first weekend of October.

Scenic Chairlift Rides

Looking for the best way to experience fall colors in Crested Butte? Head up the Silver Queen chairlift for an experience like no other. Watch as the hillsides ignite with fall colors. Blazing oranges, reds and yellows as the aspens turn. Marmots relaxing on boulders, deer meandering under the chairlift and chipmunks skittering across the trail. The woods provide an endless opportunity to make you smile. Hike to the peak and take a moment to savor the splendor of fall. Winter is coming but in the meantime join us on the weekends before the snow flies.

Adventure Park

Take advantage of the sunshine and get the whole family outside by visiting the Crested Butte Adventure Park. The kiddos will love mining for gems and trinkets in the Tin Cup Mining Co. sleuth. Or add some competitive fun to your afternoon with a round of golf at the Flying Gopher Mini Golf course. Fall weekends are the perfect time to get the family to the mountain. Plus the fall foliage makes the perfect backdrop for family photos. Say cheese!

Dine on the Mountain

Take in fall and all its glory mid-mountain at the Umbrella Bar. Hike (about 30 minutes) or bike (about 8 minutes) from the top of the Red Lady chairlift to our relaxing slopeside bar. Soak in the 360 degree view of the fall colors, bring some friends and smile because nothing beats fall in CB. Just stopping by the base area? The deck at Butte 66 is open Friday through Sunday as well, serving up great food, beverages and excellent views! Or enjoy tacos, burritos and more at Jefes, also located in the base area.

Closing day for the Umbrella Bar is September 25. Butte 66 and Jefes are open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through October 2.

Whether your weekend adventure includes biking, hiking, spending time with the family or simply relaxing, Crested Butte Mountain Resort has something for everyone. Open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through October 2.
