With Spring Break around the corner we rounded-up some of the awesome activities, wacky costume events, creative outlets, and concerts, so you can squeeze every drop of Crested Butte spring goodness out of your getaway.

CB Unplugged I March 17
Check out the best FREE après concert on the mountain! On March 17 we welcome Chali 2na and The House of Vibe to Butte 66 at 4 pm, for a killer party in an intimate setting. Odell Brewing Company will be on site and you can enter to win a pair of custom Odell logoed ROMP skis!
Crested Butte Center for the Arts
Don’t miss a show at the Crested Butte Center for the Arts. March is stacked with big names including Sam Bush, Drew Emmitt with Family and Friends, and The Oh Hellos. Check out their live music schedule and purchase tickets here.
Carry the party late into the night at the Public House. The downstairs turns into a dance party with nationally recognized live music, DJs and parties. Check out their event calendar.
Canvas and Cocktails I March 14 & 21
Tap into your inner artist with guided instruction by local artist Mary Turk on March 14 and March 21. This stress free and creative night includes all of your materials, instruction and glass of wine outside Spellbound Pizza in the Treasury Center starting at 4 pm. To register click here. The Trailhead Children’s Museum I March 14 & 21
Located in the Base Area the Trailhead Children’s Museum offers a variety of creative activities for kids of all ages. During Spring Break they are offering Après Ski Art on March 14 and 21 from 4 – 6:30 pm for kid’s ages 5 – 11 (perfectly coordinated with Canvas and Cocktails). For details visit Après Ski Art.
Art Walk I March 16
Grab a map and stroll through Crested Butte’s Elk Avenue galleries. Stop by the Art Studio and meet our artists, enjoy a snack or a glass of wine, and browse our showing of local artwork. Strolling is free, art is available for purchase.
Skiing and Riding
With 15 of 15 lifts spinning and 95 open trails, there is an abundance of terrain open for your skiing and riding pleasure. From learning slopes to Crested Butte’s Extreme Terrain you can experience everything Crested Butte Mountain Resort has to offer.
There are a ton of activities beyond skiing and riding at CBMR. One of the most exciting is our zipline tours. Fly through the air with this adrenaline filled 2.5 hour tour offered daily. Stop by the Adventure Center or call (970) 349-2211 for more details.
Entertain the whole family at the Adventure Park Challenge your kids to a round of mini golf, mine for gold, fly high on the bungee trampoline and scale the rock climbing pinnacle. Finish up the fun afternoon with unique milkshake creations at Butte 66.
Rock Your Costume
The Al Johnson I March 18
This Colorado costume event is as much fun to watch as it is to participate in! In tribute to a 19th century mailman, competitors in wacky costumes go up and down the mountain, some never having telemarked at all.
Downhill Chainless Race I March 24
Grab a townie, fat bike or brave this event on a mountain bike. Test your skills, dress up, and experience the thrill of the Crested Butte Winter Chainless Downhill Bike Race.
Honestly, every day is a good day to rock your costume in Crested Butte. You never know when you will see fairies, dinosaurs, or a bike dressed up as a pirate ship ride by you on the mountain or in town.
Ice Bar at Uley’s Cabin
This famous on-mountain spot featuring the Ice Bar located on the patio of the historic Uley’s Cabin and offers a full bar and snacks. Oftentimes you will find the grill open slinging fresh hot dogs and hamburgers to hungry ski patrons.
Umbrella Bar at Ten Peaks
Located at the top of the Painter Boy Lift and there is the one word for the views –SPECTACULAR. Take a break, grab an Odell or Landshark draft and take in the 360 degree views. The bonus is it is the point where 3 lifts converge making it an awesome meeting spot.
Butte 66 Roadhouse
This base area deck is the place to be for après ski. With an awesome patio, unobstructed views of the Peak, great drink specials and yummy apps, it is a great spot to wrap up your ski day.
