CBMR Sends Summer Off In Style with Concert from Kyle Park

Crested Butte Mountain Resort and the Town of Mt. Crested Butte are thrilled to extend free music on the mountain one week longer with the inaugural Summer Sendoff Concert featuring Austin Texas singer, songwriter, Kyle Park on August 24. His ‘rock with a twangy’ style mixture of up-tempo, guitar driven honky tonkers and heartfelt ballads will make for a lively and fun show not to be missed. Featured Hike #12 : Three Lakes Loop

Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate

Hike Time: About 2 hours If you do all three lakes and waterfall.

Three Lakes Loop is a fantastic loop that winds through a lush forest, linking three lakes – Lost Lake, Dollar Lake, and Lost Lake Slough. There’s even a nice waterfall that is only about 30 steps off the trail.  It’s a perfect hike for families, friends or even to do by yourself.

It was a sunny day as we made our way to the short and easy Whetstone Vista trial located just off Brush Creek Road.  This easy hike is mellow enough for the whole family to enjoy. Its easy access and connection to the Upper Upper Loop trail allows you to wander whichever way you so desire.  There’s nothing better than enjoying this hike with friends and family as it strengthens relationships and allows you to get away.  This trail is short, but offers amazing views of Whetstone Mountain that will leave you in awe.  So, have fun and be safe!
